Norwegian Wood is written by a man named Haruki Murakami. Reading the first chapter I felt an odd sense of discomfort and unfamiliarity. Just from reading the 1st chapter I’ve concluded that this is a love story of some sorts. Between a man and woman. I can’t remember the last time I read a love story from the man’s point of view. I tried to connect with the male character but was unable to do so due to the fact that his love for a woman seemed unfamiliar. This got me to thinking about romantic films. Oddly, I’ve had no problem connecting with male character then. Then I realized it maybe because the female character always shows up at some point and I side with her at that point. That’s another topic, of course. I also started thinking about few years back and thinking about how my future would turn out to be choosing certain paths over others. Luckily, I got to do so with a time machine. I took a photograph of one future and came to the conclusion that taking that particular path wouldn’t be the best for me. By the way, it wasn’t really a time machine, I simply went to a family member’s home and lived their lives.
